The Machame Route, renowned as an exceptional path up Kilimanjaro, offers a distinct experience as it ascends one way and descends another, providing panoramic views of the south and southwest faces of the peak. This route features porters who carry all necessary supplies and equipment, while a dedicated cook prepares all meals. Unlike the Marangu Route, where accommodation is in huts, Machame trekkers sleep in tents provided by the tour.

Porters handle tent setup, and dinner is served either outdoors on a blanket or inside a dinner tent. Referred to as the "Whiskey Route," Machame is favored by adventurous hikers seeking breathtaking vistas, from the captivating late-afternoon sunsets at Shira to the enigmatic disclosures of Kibo!
